This is one of the best second wines of the Médoc. Like its elder, this is a classic, elegant wine, with a clear, well-designed structure and a long, fresh final.
Wafting from the glass with aromas of crème de cassis, plums, pencil shavings, petals, burning embers and discreet hints of new oak, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and layered.
The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin and a crisp line of acidity, subtle notes of cedar with a composed, structured finish with plenty of freshness and vigor.
Atypical, a dark black color, developing complex roasted aromas, as well as black berry, vanilla and spicy notes.
Medium to full-bodied, the palate layers all these mineral sparkles with fresh, energetic black fruit, underpinned by ripe, solid tannins, finishing on an earthy note.
