Type : Red wine

Grape varieties : Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc

Surface : Approximately 11 hectares

Tasting Notes

Colour: Deep red with purple highlights.

Nose : Aromatic and complex, combining notes of ripe black fruit (blackcurrant, blackberry), sweet spices, light tobacco and cedar. Subtle hints of mocha and liquorice enrich this elegant bouquet.

Palate: Ample attack, carried by velvety, well-integrated tannins. The wine displays a fine concentration of fruit, with aromas of black fruit, oriental spices and a discreet but present minerality. The finish is long and fresh, balanced between richness and tension, with a slight smokiness.

Review

Scores :

- James Suckling: 96/100

- Wine Advocate (Robert Parker): 95/100

- Vinous (Neal Martin): 95-96/100

- Decanter: 95/100

Suggested pairings

Pairs perfectly with grilled fillet of beef, poultry supreme with morel mushrooms or a rack of lamb roasted with herbs. It will also enhance a sauté of veal with mushrooms or a dish of grilled vegetables seasoned with mild spices. On a cheese platter, it goes well with a mature goat's cheese or a young Comté.
