Château Boyd-Cantenac 2009 is an exceptional red wine from the Margaux appellation, classified as a 3rd Grand Cru Classé in 1855. The estate, run by Lucien Guillemet, spans 17 hectares of poor, siliceous gravel soils from the ancient Quaternary, cultivated with a reasoned and nearly organic approach.

This vintage shows a dense, deep purple color. The nose reveals complex aromas of blueberry liqueur, acacia flowers, licorice, graphite, and smoky wood. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with excellent concentration and powerful yet well-balanced tannins. A floral, elegant Margaux with remarkable purity and strong terroir expression.

Cellaring Potential

This wine benefits from 5 to 8 years of cellaring and can be kept until 2040 and beyond.
