Martinmas · 11 November
The Martinmas goose and the wines of Tours.
Saint Martin did not want to become Bishop of Tours and went into hiding, but in the dark the geese gave him away, and so he became Bishop of Tours. That is why we offer wines from Tours with the Martinmas goose, from Domaine Vigneau-Chevreau, who also farm the vineyard of the Abbey of Marmoutier exclusively.
Two boxes: the first with four Vouvray, a Lirac and the delicacies for the goose, the second with everything from the first plus five Châteauneuf-du-Pape. With The Laroche Letter you get 5% off both until 18 November.

Martinmas Box with Châteauneuf-du-Pape · €347.10
For everyone who would like a great red wine with the Martinmas goose: everything from the first box plus five Châteauneuf-du-Pape from winemakers Louis-Pierre has worked with for years. These are wines from the top shelf, each bottle costs between €34.50 and €53.50 on its own. With the Marcoux 2019 and the Saint Siffrein 2020, two of them already have some years of maturity behind them, and then there are the Saint Laurent and the Calice de Saint Pierre from Domaine des Pères de l’Église. And, as a rarity, a white Châteauneuf-du-Pape from Saint Siffrein, as only a small share of the wines from Châteauneuf are white.
