Tasting notes

Colour: Deep ruby with garnet highlights.

Nose: Complex and typical of the estate, with aromas of ripe black fruit (blackcurrant, blackberry), light tobacco, undergrowth, cedar, accompanied by a mineral and slightly smoky touch.

Palate: Straightforward, taut attack, with firm but ripe tannins. The structure is straightforward, with good concentration. The finish lingers on notes of liquorice, graphite and black fruit. A serious wine with classic, elegant balance.

Wine and food pairings

  • Grilled entrecôte, rib of beef
  • Roast lamb, rack of lamb with herbs
  • Game birds or fur (pheasant, venison)
  • Mature cheeses (Saint-Nectaire, Tomme de Savoie, Old Cantal)
