Château de Millet
The Dèche family, Eauze in the Gers. Propriétaire récoltant: the family grows the grapes, distils and ages everything itself. At Laroche with vintage Armagnacs and Floc de Gascogne.
01 — The estate
Armagnac from one hand
Château de Millet lies near Eauze, in the middle of the Bas-Armagnac, the core area of the appellation. The Dèche family grows the grapes, distils at the estate and lets the vintages age in its own cellar.
Own vines
Ugni Blanc, Baco Blanc, Colombard and Folle Blanche: the classic Armagnac varieties from their own vineyards.
Own distillery
Distilled at the estate. The vintages age in cask and are bottled only after years, often decades.
Floc de Gascogne
The aperitif of the region: grape must fortified with Armagnac. At Laroche as a rosé, with cheese and fruity desserts.

The photos of the estate will be taken on the next visit. Until then: the vintages on the shelf in Markt Piesting.
