Château La Verrière, Bordeaux Supérieur 2019 - Gold Medal
(€14.47 L)
Deep purple colour, powerful and silky tannins; with beef.
Winemaker and vineyard: After working for more than 10 years in a beautiful Bordeaux estate, Alain Bessette followed his father to permanently ensure the quality of the production and enrich it with his experience. Since then, he has given a new impetus to the estate, leading it to become one of the leading estates from the Bordeaux Supérieur appellation.
Tasting: Brilliant and purple red colour. Intense, fruity and toasted nose. Fruity and well-balanced on the palate, with an acidic structure, juiciness and a buitiful freshness around the fruit: blackcurrant, blackberry, hints of redcurrant, fine notes of black fruit (liquorice/zan, black tea, violet) as well as discreet aromas of cocoa.
Service: Red meat, cheeses, chocolate desserts, etc. Open one to two ours before serving.
Awards and medals: Gold medal at the Concours des Vinalies 2021 and the Concours Bordeaux 2021.
