Winemaker and Vineyard : Château Haut-Tropchaud, located on the famous clay-gravel plateau of Pomerol, is one of Michel Coudroy's wine properties. Acquired in 1987, it is in the company of the most prestigious neighbours, such as Trotanoy and Petrus. Despite its small size - only 2 hectares, this vineyard produces an annual quantity of 10,000 bottles of red wine, distinguished by their great finesse and elegance, combined with remarkable power and generosity. The average age of the vines is 40 years, which reflects the maturity and quality of the fruits. Château Haut-Tropchaud estate is positioned on the highest point of the "high terrace", housing the most esteemed crus of the Pomerol appellation. Even though the estate is not listed in the 1855 classification, it is nevertheless recognised by enthusiasts around the world for its trademark: a balance between elegance, finesse, power and generosity. The harvests are carried out manually, thus ensuring the selection of the best bunches. Alongside its renowned neighbouring estates, Château Haut-Tropchaud is a demonstration of Pomerol's superior quality.

Tasting : Very fragrant, it exhales notes of fresh leather, meat juice and truffle. The palate is marked by a certain rusticity. An authentic wine, undoubtedly less civilised than its illustrious neighbours but endearing. Good value for money.

Service : Serve at room temperature (16-18°C) to accompany a pork tenderloin.
