Deep garnet-purple in color, Léoville Barton simply sings of crushed black cherries, blackcurrant cordial and wild blueberries with touches of violets, dark chocolate, allspice and cardamom with a waft of stewed tea. Full-bodied, rich and decadently fruited in the mouth, the generous fruit has a solid structure of firm, ripe, grainy tannins and oodles of freshness, finishing long and layered.
The robe is silky with an average intensity and a beautiful cherry red colour. The nose is very expressive and concentrated, slightly sweet and woody, with a mixture of red fruit aromas, raspberry, and morello cherry. The palate is powerful and racy, combining suppleness and tight tannins. With a beautiful length in the mouth, this is a well balanced and accessible wine.
Deep, dense color, very saturated. Fine and complex nose with a very pure expression of fruit, notes of cedar. The palate is full, powerful attack. Fleshy, dense mid-palate, carried by the rich tannins. Exquisite finish supported by a sublime tannic structure, fine, elegant and balanced. This wine embodies the purity of fruit in harmony with a sumptuous tannic structure.
